So I was randomly scrolling through dA the other day, and I thought to myself...wow, people sure do make a lot of genderbender sketches for shows like Avatar: TLA. Maybe I should do one for JN.

And so (as usual) I got carried away, and this series was born. This is Ginny Neutron, the girl counterpart to our favorite boy genius, if the universe had been switched around. I'll be doing a full series, including Ginny Neutron, Sydney Vortex, Carla Wheezer, Sheena Estevez, and "Lil B" Folfax. I am such a twit

GINNY NEUTRON

Character Description:
A genius in the fields of science, mathematics, and astrophysics, Ginny is a master of all things technical. She can build an interstellar starship from scratch, decipher any encryption, and has sequenced the genome of every known organism on planet Earth (she's currently working on alien genomes).

Unfortunately for her family and peers, her clutziness and lack of common sense often lead to the creation of inventions with a propensity for catastrophic failure. She suffers from a perpetual nose cold due to late night experiments, and her long periods of seclusion from the world have left her naive, socially awkward, and with an inflexible sense of morality.

Nevertheless, these very same qualities make her endearing and ultimately a very dangerous enemy. She has a high sense of loyalty to her friends, and has been known to risk her life to save others. No matter how dire the circumstances, she is always able to come up with a way to make it out OK.

Family and Friends:
Ginny's Mom is a very intelligent woman whose favorite hobbies include baking and fixing cars. Her dad exhibits a strange fascination with ducks and pie, yet has been known to (on occasion) offer a piece of wise advice masquerading as a silly off-the-wall comment. Both parents care deeply about their daughter, even if they are a bit confused by her abilities.

The final member of Ginny's family is her robotic dog Goddard, who is quite possibly her most successful (and certainly most beloved) invention.

Her main friends are Sheena and Carla, and the three of them are practically inseparable. Ginny considers Carla to be her best friend, and has unofficially taken the shy girl under her wing. She finds Sheena's...erm..."originality" to be inspiring (and occasionally exasperating). Between the three of them, crazy adventures are never in short supply.

Ginny's semi-friend and arch rival is Sydney Vortex, the former smartest kid at Lindbergh Elementary. Ginny spends a good deal of time competing with, spying on, researching, or otherwise antagonizing Sydney in an attempt to prove her superiority. She usually succeeds, except in physical challenges, in which she is clearly outmatched. To compensate for this, she builds all sorts of inventions to enhance her physical abilities.

Despite this constant competition, Ginny simultaneously feels a great deal of admiration for Sydney. Her apparent fascination with him is obvious to Carla (and if things COULD be obvious to Sheena, it would be obvious to her too). This fascination stems from a frustration with her own inability to understand her intense and conflicting feelings toward him.

Ginny also has a crush on older classmate, Benji, who has exhibited a great deal of kindness to the young genius.

Extras
Ginny's favorite pastimes include amassing obscure knowledge, disproving popular scientific theories, building new inventions, fixing inventions that've broken, and spending time with friends and family.
