Sunrise, Sunset
Sunrise, Sunset Swiftly flow the days. Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers, Blossoming even as we gaze. Sunrise, Sunset Sunrise, Sunset Swiftly fly the years, One season following another, Laiden with happiness and tears.... Well... it's finally time. Avatar is coming to an end. I'm psyched for the ending, yet simultaneously sad to see it go. Anyway, this piece is dedicated to all you avatar fans out there. It's been fun.  I hope you like it. I really pushed myself with the coloring this time...I tried to get the lighting just right. I'm sure I made some mistakes, but I did my best.  I'm proud of the outfits...they're supposed to look sort of fire nation (since book 3 is fire) but influenced by each of the kid's respective nations. I tried to make the fabrics look different too...I wanted Katara's kimono to look like it was made of satin, and Toph's tunic to appear velvety.I realize Aang looks like a year or two older than he is now...and he has hair again. He just looks so delightfully...delinquentish with hair. And there are slight Kataang and Tokka overtones in this pic. They ARE my two favorite ships  As for the background, I wanted it to look sort of mystical...perhaps timeless or divine. You're supposed to get a slight sense of vertigo when you look at it...like you don't know quite where or when it is. Anyway, comments and faves would be much appreciated.
